My son studies in class 9 ,icse board. Which board would be ideal for him if he wants to persue engineering or computer science in USA or Canada. [View Answer]

Dear Reena

There is nothing like an ideal board if you want to do your undergraduate outside of India. He can do it in any board (CBSE, IB, ICSE). However, it would help if the child is in a school where a lot of students apply abroad for undergraduate studies. Typically that is the case with IB schools followed by select ICSE schools. Due to this tradition of applying abroad, teachers will be able to guide him better. They will be aware of good colleges, cut off marks, last dates etc.

Thank you for your response. What would be your advise if he want to persue  engineering in India and then go abroad for his post grad. Could you also help me with info about the following...

2) which year should he start
3)most appropriate board for engineering entrances
4)best engineering colleges in India
5)various forms of engineering available in India.
